Girls’ hostel, the construction of which was completed in 2015 was made functional with the admission of students in the first week of June 2017. The objective of the hostel is to accommodate girl students coming from distant places and special lodging provision is given for sports students also in view of the convenience to carry out regular sports practice in the campus. The current student strength is 45. The establishment of facilities like individual cots, water purifiers, storage facilities, well equipped kitchen and dining room facilities, reading room, napkin incinerator and others has been already done. The kitchen is being maintained by two staff appointed by the college and students can enjoy the homely food cooked in hostel itself. The design and ambience of the hostel is sustained in such a way so as to make the residents feel like “a home away from home”. The experiment with starting of kitchen garden was a revelation with all students showing great enthusiasm in each process of cultivating different varieties of vegetables.
A proposal for security staff and watchman’s cabin has also been sanctioned.
