College Library

Library has total built area of 5000 Sq.ft. and a collection of 8,450 books which are categorised as general, departmental and reference sections. Library subscribes a number of dailies, periodicals and magazines. The Library is automated and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) service is made available to all Staff and Students. The Library Monitoring Committee advises and recommends on all matters related to the services of Library.The committee is formed of the Convenor, Mrs. Josely (Librarian) and the members namely Rajesh C, Dr. Gopakumar G, Vineetha Mohan and Umamakeshswari K.

  • Books are issued on surrender of ID card of the students.
  • Signing on the gate register and submission of ID are compulsory before entering the library
  • A strict silence must be observed inside the library.

  • Personal belongings such as bags, books, files etc., are not allowed to be kept inside the library
  • The arrangement of furniture inside the library should not be disturbed.
  • Use of mobile phone is not permitted inside the library.
  • Number of books a member can borrow at a time is as follows: Degree students - 2; PG students - 3; Teachers - 5
  • A Book borrowed from the library must be returned within 14 days and it can be renewed for a further continuous period of 7 days if no one else has requested for the same book.
  • Absence from the College will not be accepted as an excuse for not returning the books on time.
  • If the due date for return of books falls on weekends or holidays the book must be compulsorily returned on the next working day.
  • Failure to return a book on or before the due date necessitates payment of a fine of Rs.1.00 per day of delay for each book.
  • Disfiguring, scribbling or tearing pages will be considered as a serious offense and in such cases it is the responsibility of the student to replace the book with new copy.
  • Magazines, newspapers, general and reference books will not be issued.
  • In case of lose of a borrowed book, the student will have to either buy a new copy or make payment equal to 3 times of the actual cost of the book.
  • In all matters regarding the library the decision of the Principal shall be final.
